About this role

Make a difference. Every day. We are excited to offer an exciting position in specialized rehabilitation within inpatient care. At Hässleholm Hospital, we have a strong operation in internal medicine, neurology, and rehabilitation medicine. We are currently two care units operating on the same ward floor: the medical department and the neurology and rehabilitation department (NORAH). We are entering a new phase where we are building for the future, and as part of this, we have implemented a reorganization to enhance quality and accessibility for our patients. As part of this effort, we will be separating neurology and rehabilitation into two distinct departments starting January 2026. We are now seeking nursing assistants for our new rehabilitation department. The rehabilitation department offers specialized inpatient rehabilitation for adult patients with neurological and orthopedic diagnoses, such as stroke, traumatic brain injuries, and amputations. We are one of three centers for rehabilitation medicine in Skåne and are conveniently located near both the train station and the city center. What do we offer? • Opportunities for continuous professional development through our educational nursing assistants and the hospital's training unit. • Participation in a multidisciplinary team that values collaboration and community in daily work with our patients. • A well-functioning collaboration with municipalities, where our SVU coordinators successfully create a safe discharge for our patients. If you are ready to take the next step in your career and want to help shape the future of healthcare, submit your application today! JOB RESPONSIBILITIES With us, you will play a central role in an engaged team where we work together to promote recovery and independence for our patients. As a nursing assistant, you will provide rehabilitative care for patients with acquired brain injuries, such as stroke, peripheral nervous system diseases, and limb amputations. Together with a nurse, you will share responsibility for ensuring that care is of high quality and based on individual rehabilitation plans. You will work closely with an interdisciplinary team consisting of doctors, nurses, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, social workers, speech therapists, dietitians, and neuropsychologists. As a nursing assistant, you will have a central role in the team and actively participate in rounds, planning, and team meetings. You will be an important link in creating safe, cohesive, and person-centered care for patients and their relatives. We offer a work environment characterized by communication, participation, and respect, where you have the opportunity to contribute and develop according to your personal development plan. We have strong teamwork, the ability to influence your schedule through a booking system, and a culture that embodies Region Skåne's values. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for you who are a trained nursing assistant and meet the requirements set by the National Board of Health and Welfare for a protected professional title, regardless of whether you have studied under previous or current program structures. You have good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written. Experience working in hospitals within acute care, internal medicine, neurology, or rehabilitation medicine is an advantage, but not a requirement. You have a genuine interest in nursing and rehabilitation work within our areas of expertise and thrive in an environment where development and learning are a natural part of everyday life. As a person, you have a positive attitude, are engaged and curious, and take initiative. You easily adapt your working methods to changing circumstances and value good collaboration within the team around the patient, while also being confident in working independently. In your interactions with patients and relatives, you are attentive, empathetic, and create a sense of security through professional encounters. Naturally, you work according to Region Skåne's values, and personal suitability will be of great importance. We are looking for someone interested in a varied and developing job alongside experienced colleagues. Our goal is to strive for participation and involvement among our patients, which is why the work is based on a person-centered perspective. We are a cheerful group that cares for each other and our professions. We continuously work on professional development and workplace environment and are committed to providing a good introduction for our new employees. You are warmly welcome to submit your application today. We look forward to welcoming you as our new colleague!
