About this role

Make a difference. Every day. If you are ready to take the next step in your career and want to help shape the future of healthcare, submit your application today! We are excited to offer new positions in inpatient neurology. At Hässleholm Hospital, we have a strong department in internal medicine, neurology, and rehabilitation medicine. We currently have two care units operating on the same ward: the medicine department and the neurology and rehabilitation department (NORAH). We are entering a new phase where we are building for the future, and as part of this, we have implemented a reorganization to enhance quality and accessibility for our patients. Starting in January 2026, we will separate neurology and rehabilitation into two distinct departments. We are now looking for nursing assistants for our new neurology department. What do we offer? • Continuous professional development through our educational nursing assistants and the hospital's training unit. • Participation in a multidisciplinary team that values collaboration and community in daily work with our patients. • A well-functioning collaboration with municipalities where our SVU coordinators successfully create a safe discharge for our patients. The hospital is within walking distance from the station, and it takes only 35 minutes by train from Lund, for example. JOB DESCRIPTION In the neurology department, you will encounter patients with various neurological diseases such as stroke and epilepsy. Many of our older patients also have multiple conditions in their medical history, which offers you a varied and stimulating work environment. Medical patients are also present in the department. As a nursing assistant with us, you will perform standard nursing assistant tasks such as basic and specific care, various assessments like NIHSS and NEWS, and the use of medical technical equipment, among others. You will be part of our multidisciplinary team and, together with various professional roles, will be responsible for activities of daily living (ADL) and mobilization, according to each patient’s abilities. Our work environment is characterized by mutual support across the boundaries of healthcare disciplines. You will collaborate with engaged colleagues who welcome questions and are eager to share knowledge and experiences. We have a strong team spirit and make joint decisions, allowing you space to help build a culture around care. It is important to us that Region Skåne's values permeate our care and work environment. We work with a booking schedule, which gives you good opportunities to influence your work hours. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for someone who is a trained nursing assistant and meets the National Board of Health and Welfare's requirements for a protected professional title, regardless of whether you have studied under the previous or current program structure. You should also have good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written. Experience working in a hospital setting in emergency care, internal medicine, neurology, and/or rehabilitation medicine is advantageous but not required. You have a genuine interest in nursing and rehabilitation work within our profile areas and thrive in an environment where development and learning are a natural part of everyday life. As a person, you have a positive attitude, are engaged and curious, and take initiative. You easily adapt your working methods to changing circumstances and value good collaboration within the team around the patient, while also being comfortable working independently. In your interactions with patients and their families, you are attentive, empathetic, and create security through a professional demeanor. Naturally, you work in accordance with Region Skåne's values, and personal suitability will be given significant weight. We are looking for someone interested in a varied and developing role alongside experienced colleagues. Our goal is to strive for participation and involvement from our patients, which is why our work is based on a person-centered perspective. We are a cheerful team that cares for each other and our professions. We continuously work on professional development and workplace environment and are committed to providing a good introduction for our new employees. You are warmly welcome to submit your application today. We look forward to you becoming our new colleague!
