Högåsen is a modern and welcoming special accommodation located centrally in Alvesta. Here, the care recipient is always the focus. We meet each individual – as well as their relatives and colleagues – with respect, warmth, and professionalism.
The accommodation consists of a total of 78 apartments spread across five departments, one of which is a specialized dementia unit. We are a large workplace where rehabilitation and nursing staff also operate, along with our award-winning kitchen team. Together, we create a safe and meaningful everyday life where care, quality, and good service go hand in hand.
JOB DESCRIPTION
As a nursing assistant with us, you play a vital role in creating safety, care, and quality of life for the elderly. You are a person who sees the individual behind the needs and meets each person with respect and warmth.
In your daily work, you provide support based on each person's needs, for example:
• Assisting with getting up and going to bed
• Assisting during meals
• Distributing medication
• Documentation
• Encouraging and participating in activities
A key part of your role is to collaborate with colleagues, nurses, and other professionals in the accommodation. Together, you plan the day and support each other when needed, especially during more demanding shifts. You will also communicate with relatives and contribute to creating a sense of security for them as well.
The position requires working every other weekend, but we welcome those who are willing to work weekends more frequently.
QUALIFICATIONS
Care and Nursing Program: Approved education from the care and nursing program or equivalent education.
Language: You must be proficient in Swedish, both spoken and written, to clearly document according to social services guidelines.
