About this role

Do you want to improve the everyday life, future, and quality of life for the residents of Linköping? With us, you can combine important assignments with a meaningful daily routine. Welcome to our team! Your Responsibilities Starting from March 1, 2026, Linköping Municipality, Department of Health and Care, will take over the operation of Garnisonen Nursing Home. We are looking for someone who is passionate about providing person-centered care and wants to contribute to a meaningful daily life for our residents. If you have experience in dementia care and/or short-term care and are driven by seeing each individual's unique needs, you may be the right person for us. Your work is a crucial piece in creating a meaningful existence with a focus on health and well-being. By working with IBIC (Individual Needs in Center), a salutogenic approach, and national values, you will highlight and strengthen the individual's own abilities. As a nursing assistant with us, you will have a varied role where you are responsible for both care and social tasks. You will assist with everything from transfers and personal hygiene to household chores and medical interventions. As a contact person, you will plan the days for several residents based on their specific needs and wishes. You will maintain close contact with relatives, participate in welcome conversations, and work on establishing and revising implementation plans. You will also collaborate with other stakeholders to ensure the best possible care. A significant part of your work will involve planning and conducting activities that promote well-being. We believe that creativity and engagement make every day special for our residents, and only your imagination sets the limits! We welcome your own ideas and initiatives that can enrich our residents' lives. Your contribution is invaluable in creating a safe and stimulating environment every day. Your Workplace Welcome to Garnisonen Nursing Home, a facility focused on short-term and dementia care! Here, we are close to both the city center and beautiful nature. There are good bus connections, making it easy to get here. The facility consists of 40 apartments, divided into four departments: three for short-term care and one for dementia care. Of these, 30 places are intended for short-term accommodation and 10 for individuals with dementia. The short-term care unit receives individuals with varying medical needs and diagnoses. The length of stay can vary, and the work can sometimes be intense, with high-pressure situations requiring quick interventions. The dementia care unit is a permanent accommodation for individuals with dementia diseases. Here, we provide long-term support and care tailored to each individual's needs. Upon the takeover on March 1, we will work together to establish new routines and structures. This means you need to be flexible and have an open mindset. We strive for you to be able to work in different departments in the future and collaborate across boundaries, creating a dynamic and varied work environment. As an employee at Garnisonen, you will have a contact person role and act as a representative in areas such as hygiene, aids, and nutrition. We work with implementation plans and documentation in Epsilon/Wellfare, a planning tool that helps us structure the day. You will actively participate in shaping our new structure. Working hours vary between day, evening, and every other weekend. Morning shifts start at 06:45, 07:00, or 07:30. Evening shifts start at 13:00 or 16:00, ending no later than 21:15. Night shifts are from 21:00 to 07:00, with one staff member on each department. We are working to eliminate split shifts and are reviewing the schedule. There may be weekend evenings for night staff to facilitate scheduling. We place great importance on a good working environment. Together, we will establish clear ground rules. We have regular meetings such as staff meetings and work environment groups, as well as a separate collaboration council exclusively for employees where you can raise important issues. There is close cooperation between management and staff, focusing on always providing the best possible care. We encourage you to develop and take on responsible roles. Our team includes two managers, coordinators, nurses, nursing assistants, and rehabilitation staff. Who We Are Looking For We are looking for you who are a trained nursing assistant with experience in care and support. In your role, you will have close contact with our residents and their relatives, so it is important that you enjoy building good relationships. We value your expertise and would like you to have knowledge of short-term care or dementia diseases. It is also a significant advantage if you have experience with IBIC, a salutogenic approach, low-arousal responses, the National Board of Health and Welfare's national value base, and BPSD administration. You need to have good knowledge of Swedish and be accustomed to working with digital tools for documentation and record-keeping, such as Epsilon, Wellfare, or Treserva. As a person, you are self-sufficient, responsible, and attentive. You easily build good relationships
