Nursing Assistants/Care Assistants Summer Positions 2026, Ambulance Service
Job Responsibilities
The ambulance service in Region Örebro County offers a unique breadth of experience, as we operate in both urban and rural settings, providing a varied and educational service. We staff ambulances at three main stations and several satellite stations, making us a large and secure organization. As a nursing assistant, you will always work alongside a nurse and be part of a team that values collaboration and respect.

Qualifications
We prefer that you have a nursing education with a focus on healthcare. Courses in Emergency Care (200 credits, previously Medical Care 200 credits) and Medicine 2 (100 credits, previously Medical Basic Course 100 credits and Nursing 150 credits) are desirable. Alternatively, equivalent older education or a nursing program with graduation after 2022. We also consider relevant work experience in assessing your qualifications. To evaluate your employability, transcripts from your nursing education must be attached to your application. If you are a student, you may apply if you are in the nursing program from semester 4 or in the medical program from semester 6. As a person, you are flexible, responsible, and possess good teamwork skills. We place great importance on personal suitability. At least one year of experience in emergency care or ambulance care training is an advantage. A valid driver's license (Category B) is required, as well as swimming ability (200 meters) and a passing result on the physical test that all applicants must undergo. Application
Selection and interviews will take place continuously. Test days will be conducted on: 24/11, 27/11, 11/12, 18/12, 9/1, and 22/1. The day includes an interview, physical, and driving tests. The day will take place in Örebro, Karlskoga, or Lindesberg and will last approximately 3 hours. To prepare yourself for the test day, watch the linked video below.
Start date: By agreement. Mandatory training days will begin as early as spring. Attendance on these days is a requirement for employment. During training days and onboarding sessions, a temporary employment contract will be offered.
The application should include a CV and a cover letter. Certificates, transcripts, diplomas, etc., should be provided at a potential interview. If you are or have previously been employed by Region Örebro County, we will take internal references from your current or previous manager if you are considered for employment. A background check from the Police Authority may be conducted in accordance with current legislation.
