About this role
Home Care Area 4 is part of elder care, and we are based at Humlet in central Mariestad, where our two center groups work to provide the best possible support to our wonderful residents! Our home care area is beautifully situated, surrounded by greenery along the Tidan River.
We have 30 employees with us, and we are now looking for a nursing assistant for a six-month temporary position, with the possibility of continued employment.
Are you a responsive and caring person with good collaboration skills? Do you have previous experience in elder care? Then you might be the one we are looking for!
JOB DESCRIPTION
In your role, you will provide personal care such as dressing and undressing, and assist with toilet and shower situations. You will perform delegated medical tasks including medication distribution, venipunctures, and wound dressings. Other responsibilities include service tasks, daily chores, and social interaction. The job also involves close collaboration with planners, nurses, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, and the unit manager. The work is largely independent, but double staffing may occur.
We work with a fixed care contact and representative assignments, allowing you as an employee to grow with the responsibility while also being part of the development of the organization.
We operate on a 7-week schedule with shifts during the day and evening, and you will also work three out of seven weekends. The schedule includes resource shifts to cover absences at other workplaces. The position is a full-time temporary role for six months, starting as soon as possible by agreement. There may be opportunities for continued employment after the temporary position.
QUALIFICATIONS
For this position, we are looking for someone who is a trained nursing assistant and preferably has work experience in home care.
We seek someone who is responsive, positive, and confident in individual interactions with clients and has a good ability to work independently with care tasks. Your inspiring and positive attitude contributes to a good community and joy among both residents and your colleagues.
You should be flexible, as the work is based on close collaboration with your colleagues, where you are expected to step in and support as needed in both groups, including in other areas through resource shifts.
We would like you to have experience in interacting with individuals with mental health issues. You are expected to have good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written, as many of your tasks involve receiving instructions and conveying information clearly and accurately. You should also have digital proficiency in computer and mobile usage, as we use these tools as part of our work.
A driver's license is an advantage for these positions.
When you apply, we would like a CV that outlines your previous qualifications. You may omit the personal letter; instead, you will answer a few selection questions. We place great emphasis on personal qualities and good references. Prior to an employment offer, we will request a criminal record extract.
Recruitment is ongoing, which means that interviews may be conducted before the application deadline has passed.
We look forward to welcoming a new colleague to our wonderful team in Home Care Area 4!
