The Surgical Center of Southern Lapland is a clinic with a broad range of services and high competence. Within the clinic, there are inpatient wards, outpatient services, an operating department, an emergency department, an intensive care unit, a recovery unit, and helicopter services. The inpatient ward has 21 beds on weekdays and 16 beds on weekends, which must be staffed around the clock. We have a wide variety of diagnosis groups in our surgical orthopedic department. We primarily provide elective care in the form of hip, knee, and obesity surgeries. The acute services include abdominal observations and various types of trauma. We are now seeking a nursing assistant for our inpatient ward. JOB DESCRIPTION As a nursing assistant with us, you will contribute your knowledge and commitment to help patients feel secure during their care time with us. Your workday will largely consist of various nursing measures that are crucial for the patient's recovery. Therefore, as a nursing assistant, you will play a central role for both patients and their families. The job offers great variety in terms of content and pace. You will work in a team, closely collaborating with other professional categories. Your work is highly varied, and you will encounter individuals with diseases and conditions across different areas of surgery. Daily tasks include patient care as well as specific duties such as sample collection, catheter insertion, drainage management, wound dressings, and more. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for a trained nursing assistant with an interest in surgical and orthopedic care. Experience working in a healthcare ward or other acute settings is advantageous. We want you to be engaged and possess a strong team spirit, seeing opportunities and solutions as you play an important role in our team. You should have the ability to prioritize between different tasks. The job requires good collaboration skills and high flexibility. We place great emphasis on personal suitability. This means you need to present a certificate from the National Board of Health and Welfare, or alternatively a work certificate that qualifies you under the transitional provisions of the National Board of Health and Welfare, allowing you to use the title until June 30, 2033.
