Child and Adolescent Psychiatry receives children and young people with serious psychiatric issues requiring specialized interventions. We use evidence-based treatment methods with various approaches. All treatment occurs in close collaboration with family, broader network, and other care providers such as schools and social services. BUP Region Dalarna consists of outpatient clinics and a county resource with an acute ward, family unit, and eating disorders unit, all under a shared management. We are now seeking a nursing assistant for a permanent full-time position working day-evening-weekend at BUP's 24-hour care, Ward 68, in Falun. Ward 68 has four care beds and serves as a shared resource for the entire BUP Dalarna. The ward's mission is to handle acute situations and short-term admissions. The child/youth typically has a guardian with them on the ward, and we maintain contact with the entire family. Nurses, nursing assistants, care workers, social workers, and doctors collaborate on the ward.

Job Responsibilities
Your tasks will include standard nursing assistant duties in psychiatric care. You'll have an exciting, varied, and developmental job working with patients and guardians. The ward is characterized by commitment and attentiveness, always focusing on the child/youth. We offer hourly employment.
Qualifications
Requirements:
• Trained nursing assistant with a degree from the Care and Healthcare Program or equivalent relevant education
• Diploma from Care and Healthcare College
• Recent experience working in child and adolescent psychiatry
Preferred:
• Specialization in Psychiatry and Community-Based Psychiatry if you previously completed the Care and Healthcare Program
• Experience working with children/youth in other settings
You are stress-resistant and enjoy working in an environment with varying tempo, utilizing your flexibility and problem-solving skills based on each patient's unique situation and needs. Interviews will be conducted continuously throughout the application period.

Professional Title Information
From July 1, 2023, "nursing assistant" becomes a protected professional title. You'll need certification from the National Board of Health and Welfare to use this title in healthcare. If offered employment after July 1, your contract will use the title "Care Assistant" until you can provide certification.
