Elder Care (ÄO) is one of four areas within the Social Administration. It is our largest operation with approximately 700 employees, encompassing residential care, home care, activation, and social services. Elder Care collaborates on various issues with different areas, departments, county councils, and authorities. Our core values are important – they characterize everything we do and serve as our guiding star.
We are seeking a nursing assistant who wants to work with us and be part of our team. Wasagården is a somatic care facility with eight apartments, and Solgården is a dementia care facility with eight apartments. Both facilities are surrounded by beautiful surroundings. You will be part of a work team with a unit manager, nursing assistants, and care assistants. As a nursing assistant, you are directly subordinate to the unit manager, and close collaboration is maintained with nurses, physiotherapists, and occupational therapists.
RESPONSIBILITIES
As a nursing assistant at Wasagården and Solgården, you will work closely with residents, providing person-centered care based on each individual's needs, wishes, and implementation plan. You will support daily activities such as personal hygiene, dressing and undressing, meals, and social interaction. The role includes following medical orders, such as medication management and simple healthcare tasks after delegation. You will observe, document, and report changes in health status according to applicable routines and legislation. Together with colleagues, nurses, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, unit managers, and relatives, you will create a safe and meaningful environment, plan and participate in activities that promote community, and actively contribute to quality and improvement work in the operation.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are seeking a trained nursing assistant, preferably with experience in similar tasks. You have the ability to see the big picture while paying attention to each individual's unique needs and conditions. It is important to us that you enjoy working in a high-paced environment where job satisfaction and commitment are central. You work systematically and quality-consciously and have good problem-solving skills. We appreciate that you are stress-resistant, attentive, and confident with a professional demeanor. Collaboration is a matter of course for you, and you adapt easily to different situations and changes. Since documentation is a natural part of the work, you need to be able to express yourself well in Swedish, both verbally and in writing, and feel comfortable working in our digital systems.
