Are you an engaged nursing assistant driven by creating quality of life and want to make a real difference in people's everyday lives? Then we would love to see you as our new colleague!
Who are we?
The Care and Support Office's mission is to meet support, care, and assistance needs for people in various stages of life. We are also responsible for providing meals to preschools, schools, and care and support office operations. We work with a user-oriented approach where work is guided and based on the user's needs.
Together, we are responsible for leading the operation towards our set goals and creating a meaningful and safe everyday life for all who need our help. With us, you'll have the opportunity to take responsibility and develop - both as an employee and as a human being.
Timmermansgatan 62:1 is a home care unit based in Hageby. We provide authorized interventions in people's homes (ordinary housing) and operate in the areas of Atrium, Silver and Gold Rings, Ensjön-Åselstad, Styrstad, Tingstad, Smedby, Lida Hills, Rambodal, and Lindö.
With a user-oriented approach, we primarily help elderly people live an independent and secure life in their own homes, always focusing on their individual needs and decisions from care managers.
With us, you'll meet people with different needs and life situations, and you'll have a meaningful job every day. As part of our team, where staff works in different care teams depending on the area, you'll have the opportunity to work independently while being an important part of an operation focused on safety, continuity, close care, and quality.
The unit has shared leadership between 2 managers who collaborate closely for the joint unit. Our team consists of approximately 50 committed employees divided into 7 different care teams.
We are now seeking 4 new colleagues who want to make a difference together with us.
Your Duties
As a nursing assistant in home care, you have a significant role in creating safety and quality of life for our users in their own homes. You provide individualized and professional care, paying attention to and meeting physical, psychological, and social needs.
You provide personal care that may include help with hygiene, dressing, and medication management. You also contribute to a pleasant home environment by helping with household tasks like cleaning, shopping, and laundry.
Beyond that, you have an important social role where you create security and community through conversations, walks, or other activities that contribute to the user's well-being. You work both independently and in good collaboration with colleagues and other professional groups, together creating quality in care and support.
Documentation is an important part of your work to ensure good continuity and quality. This also includes contributing to operational development and following existing work routines.
You are expected to handle administrative tasks such as orders, contacts with relatives, care managers, home healthcare, and incident registration. It is particularly important to notice changing needs. You provide close personal contact and continuously establish and follow up implementation plans together with users.
Our operations run between 6:30 AM and 10:00 PM every day of the week, and you will work every other weekend.
Who Are You?
We are seeking someone who is a trained nursing assistant and can provide a diploma from the National Board of Health and Welfare. Previous experience in care and support is advantageous.
As a person, you are calm, confident, with a good approach towards those you meet. You collaborate well with others but also enjoy working independently. You see what needs to be done and take initiative to provide the best possible care.
You are flexible and can adapt when plans change in daily work. You can easily prioritize and find solutions in different situations.
You can express yourself well in Swedish, both verbally and in writing. Since some areas require driving, you need a B driver's license and also be able to cycle.
