The Short-Term Care Unit at Sörmarksgatan 207 has 44 beds and receives individuals with somatic diseases, rehabilitation needs, cognitive decline, and those with extensive care needs and/or palliative care. You and your colleagues in the team, which consists of a nursing assistant, nurse, occupational therapist, and physiotherapist, work in an interdisciplinary manner to achieve the individual's goals during their short-term stay. A short-term stay is a support assessed according to the Social Services Act and the Act Concerning Support and Service for Persons with Certain Functional Impairments. The decision for a short-term stay is always time-limited and continuously followed up during the stay. Work Tasks We are seeking a trained nursing assistant with good experience in care and support. We want someone who wants to continue developing in their professional role, as we offer varied and stimulating work. You will provide personal care and perform healthcare interventions through delegation. The work includes nursing and palliative care, rapid medical assessments and treatments. You will handle medical equipment and advanced care. You will perform daily documentation according to the Social Services Act and Healthcare Act, and develop implementation plans. Documentation is done in the VIVA operational system. Working hours are during weekdays, evenings, and weekends, including major holidays. The work is varied and requires flexibility, as you must be able to work independently as well as in a group. Always be prepared to rethink and prioritize. Qualifications You are a trained nursing assistant with an interest in working with people. You have a genuine interest in care work and are open to change so that we can continue to develop the operation together. Basic computer skills are required, as well as good Swedish language skills, both verbally and in writing. We place great importance on personal suitability and see flexibility, cooperation, and good interpersonal skills as important characteristics. From July 1, 2023, nursing assistant is a protected professional title. This means a professional certificate from the National Board of Health and Welfare is required to hold the title. You can apply for the certificate on the Board's website, which must be presented in case of employment. If you have a care worker education, you will be employed as a care worker. We primarily intend to make a permanent employment, but a time-limited employment as a temporary or special fixed-term position may also be possible.
