Your Daily Life as an SOS Operator "One of the most enjoyable things about this job is that no two days are alike". You will encounter all kinds of people, questions, and problems. Your primary task is to answer incoming calls from people in distress. As an SOS operator, your core mission is to respond to the emergency number 112, and you are the first contact for those seeking help before other resources are in place. If you are a nurse's assistant, your expertise may also be used in another function at the SOS center in combination with the core mission of the emergency number 112. 112 calls cover everything from acute medical cases, traffic accidents, and fires to calls where someone needs a reassuring voice. With interview support and adapted technology, you ensure that the right resources are sent to the right place at the right time. During ongoing calls, you collaborate with colleagues and external resources such as police, rescue services, and ambulance. The work is often conducted at a high pace, with help-seekers always in focus. The work is carried out at the SOS center, where you sit in an open environment together with your colleagues. Education To ensure the right conditions for success as an SOS operator 112, the employment begins with comprehensive training at our training unit in Kista, combined with practical training at the center where you will have a supervisor. You appreciate clear guidelines, are confident and decisive - regardless of the call you handle. The role involves collaboration with colleagues and external actors, which requires good collaborative ability. You are a friendly and attentive person who finds it easy to talk to people. Furthermore, you are empathetic and professional, which means you collaborate and take responsibility in your professional role. Since SOS Alarm's operations are conducted 24/7, as an SOS operator, you will have a round-the-clock service, which means working days/evenings/nights and weekends. Therefore, you cannot choose to only work days, evenings, or nights.
