Radiology and Functional Medicine in Borlänge is seeking a Nursing Assistant.
Radiology and Functional Medicine in Borlänge is part of a county clinic with radiology departments in Avesta, Falun, Ludvika, and Mora, as well as mammography services in Falun, Borlänge, and Mora. We have approximately 240 employees from various professional categories, and together we perform around 200,000 examinations and treatments annually. We are currently in the process of recruiting to strengthen our operations at the radiology department in Borlänge. Due to the increasing demand for radiological examinations, we aim to further develop our services to meet this demand.
The radiology department in Borlänge consists of a conventional lab, and you will work alongside a radiology nurse. The unit handles both urgent and scheduled examinations and shares a corridor with the primary care center at Borlänge Hospital. There is an opportunity for rotation to the radiology department in Ludvika. Radiology Ludvika is a facility that also manages both urgent and scheduled cases. We currently have 12 employees staffing the CT scanner (Philips) and the conventional lab, working closely with the inpatient department, the emergency care unit at Ludvika Hospital, and the primary care centers in Västerbergslagen.
We operate using AGFA's RIS/PACS EI and Scheduling.
Nursing Assistant for Radiology Borlänge (with rotation opportunity)
Job Responsibilities
In this role, you will work both independently and as part of a team with your colleague. Collaboration and knowledge exchange are essential for providing the best possible care for our patients. As a nursing assistant in radiology, you will assist the radiology nurse during examination procedures, both for scheduled and urgent cases. Your primary task is to provide excellent care for the patient alongside your dedicated and competent colleagues in radiology. We offer an exciting and developmental work environment! You will receive comprehensive onboarding for your role in radiology alongside experienced colleagues, tailored to your individual skills and experiences.

This means you need a certificate from the National Board of Health and Welfare to use the title Nursing Assistant in healthcare. You can apply for the certificate starting July 1, 2023. If you do not have a certificate, you can continue to work in healthcare but under a different title than Nursing Assistant. For those offered a position with us at Region Dalarna after July 1, the title in your employment contract will be Care Assistant until you can present your certificate. If you had a permanent position with the title Nursing Assistant when the new regulations took effect on July 1, 2023, you can continue to use the title for 10 years. You can retain the title even if you change workplaces/employers after July 1. After that, you will need a certificate for the protected professional title to use the title Nursing Assistant.
