Elderly care is the largest area of the Social Administration, responsible for special accommodations, short-term housing, secure housing, home care, support for relatives, meeting points, and authority processing. Pildalen/Pilgränden is a special accommodation focused on dementia care. The facility has 16 places and is located in central Oskarshamn. Here, you will work alongside friendly and competent colleagues with a strong sense of responsibility.
We are now looking for one to two nursing assistants for the Pilen group home!
RESPONSIBILITIES
As a nursing assistant, you will report directly to the unit manager and implement approved care and service measures according to the Social Services Act (SoL) and the Health and Medical Services Act (HSL). Pilen is a special accommodation focused on dementia, consisting of two units where you, together with other staff, will carry out approved measures regarding care, nursing, and service for residents in their apartments. In addition to care and nursing work, your responsibilities will also include cooking, cleaning, and laundry. Medication administration may occur under the delegation of a nurse. You will also need to consider that residents require varying levels of social stimulation. Heavy lifting may occur, although we primarily use assistive devices.

QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for candidates who have a nursing assistant education or other qualifications deemed equivalent by the employer. Experience working with individuals with dementia or dementia-like diagnoses is an asset. Knowledge of BPSD - behavioral and psychological symptoms in dementia is also advantageous.
The work is independent but also requires collaboration, which means you should enjoy working both alone and in a team. We want you to have the ability to see the whole picture as well as each individual's unique circumstances. You need to be structured, quality-conscious, and possess good problem-solving skills. You should also be self-assured with a professional demeanor. For us, it is essential that you enjoy working in a fast-paced environment where job satisfaction is a priority.
Documentation is a recurring aspect of the job, so you need to communicate well in both spoken and written Swedish and have basic computer skills.
