In the role of nursing assistant, you should:
• Be a trained nursing assistant
• Be able to communicate fluently in Swedish, both verbally and in writing.
For this position, previous experience as a nursing assistant is an advantage.

**Information about the title nursing assistant**
As of July 1, 2023, the title of nursing assistant became a protected professional title. This means that you will need a certificate from the National Board of Health and Welfare to use the title nursing assistant within healthcare and social services. You can apply for the certificate from the National Board of Health and Welfare. If you do not have a certificate, you can continue to work in healthcare and social services, but under a different title than nursing assistant. In Region Gävleborg, this means that the title in your employment contract will be care assistant until your certificate is submitted.
