About this role
Make a difference. Every day.
We are now looking for a new colleague to join us at the Department of Reconstructive Surgery (ORK). Would you like to help develop our operations together with us? Then take the opportunity to become part of our wonderful team!
We are a highly specialized, well-functioning, primarily day surgery unit. Our opening hours are Monday to Thursday from 07:00 to 17:30 and Friday from 07:00 to 14:00. ORK provides services to surgical specialties within plastic surgery, ear, nose, and throat (ENT), urology, pediatric surgery, breast cancer surgery, hand surgery, and pediatric dentistry, as well as services to children and adolescents from the children's outpatient clinic and dermatology clinic. The department's mission also includes services to the diagnostic center and psychiatry. ORK is part of the area of intensive and perioperative care within Skåne University Hospital (Sus) in Malmö.
Our goal is to create a good working environment together with our employees, and we strive to provide opportunities for individual professional development. Our focus is on a well-functioning patient flow with the patient's safety and security at the center.
JOB DESCRIPTION
At ORK, you will primarily assist the operating room nurse and provide care for the patient, but you can also become dual-competent, which means you will work and assist in both anesthesia and surgical specialties. We work in teams consisting of nursing assistants, nurses, and doctors.
The nursing assistants are primarily divided into two specialties: ENT/urology (endoscopy/stones surgery) and plastic surgery/breast cancer surgery. As a nursing assistant with us, you will gain broad competencies while having the opportunity to specialize in one of these areas.
We offer you a stimulating and inspiring workplace with friendly colleagues and opportunities for professional development tailored to your previous experience and skills. We assume that everyone has an individual learning process and see it as a given that you will receive support from colleagues to become confident in your role. As a new employee with us, you will therefore receive an individually tailored orientation program based on your previous experiences, along with a mentoring colleague who has extensive and broad expertise.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for someone who is a trained nursing assistant and meets the National Board of Health and Welfare's requirements for a protected professional title, regardless of whether you have studied under the previous or current program structure. You also have knowledge and/or experience in emergency care/healthcare. Furthermore, you have good proficiency in the Swedish language, both spoken and written. We prefer that you have specialist training in anesthesia, surgery, or intensive care. Experience in surgical operations is an advantage.
You, as an applicant, are confident in your role as a nursing assistant. We hope that you, just like us, value a job characterized by personal responsibility, participation, trust, and collaboration among colleagues and your immediate supervisor. Additionally, you are comfortable working independently, good at collaborating, and possess strong communication skills. Personal suitability is of great importance.
In this recruitment process, we are working with ongoing selection. We welcome your application!
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Please note that you need to attach certificates/transcripts (not just a diploma) from your nursing assistant training for your application to be considered complete. If you have received your certificate for a protected professional title, this should also be attached to your application.
You need to present proof of a protected professional title from the National Board of Health and Welfare or a certificate confirming that you were permanently employed as of July 1, 2023. If you do not have this proof, you will be employed as a care assistant on a temporary basis, pending the proof.
