About the workplace
The Short-Term Unit is located at Rosenhäll and offers care and rehabilitation services for a limited time.
The unit has a well-functioning team collaboration where nursing assistants work closely with nurses, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, and care managers.
Most of the clients come directly from a hospital stay, and the purpose is to strengthen their ability to manage daily life in order to return to their regular residence. There are also individuals in a palliative phase and those waiting for a place in special accommodation.
We are looking for engaged nursing assistants who want to work with us to make the stay at the Short-Term Unit safe and meaningful. You will become a part of our team and have the opportunity to make a difference for our clients!
Job responsibilities
As a nursing assistant in the Short-Term Unit, you will have a varied job that includes both care tasks and delegated health and medical care tasks from nurses and rehabilitation staff.
There are often advanced tasks performed under delegation, such as tracheostomy care and wound care, and you must be prepared to carry out these after training. Documentation is an important part of the work.
You will also be involved in driving change – we are constantly seeking new, smart ways to work, with the goal of providing modern and meaningful elderly care. Through special representative roles, you will have the opportunity to deepen your knowledge and contribute to ensuring that the quality for our clients is as broad and strong as possible.
In the role of nursing assistant, you will work days, evenings, and every other weekend. There may also be opportunities for evening and night shifts.
We are looking for someone who:
- Is flexible and resilient as the Short-Term Unit continuously evolves.
- Has good collaboration skills.
- Maintains a professional approach characterized by a positive attitude and respect for those we serve.
- Has a genuine interest in working with the elderly, approaching this from a rehabilitative perspective and with a focus on quality.
Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.
Qualifications
We are looking for someone who is:
- A trained nursing assistant with a protected professional title.
- Proficient in Swedish, both spoken and written.
It is advantageous if you have:
- Experience or further education in palliative care.
- Experience from previous work in short-term accommodation.
- Knowledge of documentation and digital tools related to elderly care.
