Nursing Home: A Safe Living Environment for the Elderly Nursing home is a safe living form for elderly individuals with extensive daily care and support needs and those with dementia. We have eight nursing homes located both centrally and in our surrounding areas. The operation is part of the Healthcare and Social Care Sector of Skövde Municipality. We are looking for someone who wants an exciting and developmental job. In the role of nursing assistant with us, you have the opportunity to help create the best living environment for our users. You work carefully and professionally with the user, in collaboration with the rest of the team. This also means working towards good cooperation with other professional groups and relatives. As a nursing assistant, you are responsible for ensuring that our users receive social support and care, accompaniment, healthcare, and activation based on their individual needs. The work also includes service tasks such as preparing simple meals, dishwashing, laundry, and cleaning. The assignment also involves performing delegated and prescribed healthcare interventions according to the Healthcare Act (HSL). Documentation in our systems is also an important part of the work. In the Healthcare and Social Care Sector, we work flexibly between different units. It is meritorious if you have had similar work experience, preferably with a specialization in dementia, elderly care, or welfare technology, and previous experience with delegated tasks. As a person, you need to be responsible and service-oriented, putting the individual's needs at the center. You are good at collaborating with colleagues, users, relatives, and other partners both within and outside the organization. We believe we build a better operation through cooperation and development together with others. You easily create relationships and have a respectful approach. In this role, it is important that you can communicate orally and in writing in Swedish, as you and the user need to understand each other, and to complete documentation. You should be computer-literate and preferably have experience with social documentation. Skövde Municipality is a Finnish administrative area, so knowledge of the Finnish language is especially welcome. Upon employment, an extract from the police criminal record must be shown. As of July 1, 2023, nursing assistant became a protected professional title. This means a certificate from the National Board of Health and Welfare is required to use the title of nursing assistant in healthcare and social care.
