Are you looking for a varied role where you contribute to an increased quality of care? We are currently seeking nursing assistants for our units in Bergsjön, Kviberg, Kortedala, and Gamlestan/Utby. As a nursing assistant in home care, you work closely with individuals and provide support in their daily lives. You perform care and support tasks for individuals in their own homes. In your role, you motivate and stimulate the elderly based on their individual circumstances, needs, and wishes. The services are granted based on assistance assessments and can vary from personal care, support during meals, assistance with social activities, to certain health care tasks and collaboration with relatives and other health care professionals. Your responsibilities include being a designated care contact, planning, implementing, documenting, and following up on care work with the individual in need of support and assistance. You will also perform health care and rehabilitative interventions as prescribed by a nurse, physiotherapist, or occupational therapist. All social documentation is done digitally. If you have not previously used the systems employed by the City of Gothenburg, training will be provided. The individuals we serve require support during the day, evening, and weekends, so your working hours will be scheduled accordingly. You will encounter many people's life situations, which can be both interesting and challenging. As a nursing assistant in home care, you work independently but also collaboratively with others in the shared care and support work. We operate according to the Social Services Act and the national value framework, focusing on the individual's needs at the center. **Qualifications** **Requirements** - Certified nursing assistant with proof of protected professional title from the National Board of Health and Welfare - Comfortable using an electric bicycle as a work vehicle - Since we document and communicate in Swedish, you need to be proficient in Swedish, both spoken and written - Good computer skills and experience with documentation **Meritorious but not required** - Work experience in mental health or dementia - Work experience in care and support - B driver's license **Personal Attributes** As a nursing assistant in home care, you are friendly and helpful to others even in stressful situations. The work in home care largely consists of independent tasks and personal responsibility, but you also collaborate with your colleagues. You listen, show interest, and respect those you work with. In your role, you adapt your communication style to the recipient and encourage dialogue, participation, and engagement. You convey information clearly, both verbally and in writing. The tasks vary based on the care recipient's needs, so it is important that you can adjust your work approach as circumstances change. Interviews are conducted on an ongoing basis.
