Job Description In the department, we work in paired care, which is a close and important collaboration between nurses and nursing assistants. In each care team, there are up to seven patients whom we care for together with the patient's best interests in focus. As a nursing assistant, you, along with the nurse, are responsible for ensuring that our patients receive the right care in every given situation. Daily tasks in the care team include basic and specific care, NEWS checks, rounds, dressings, nutrition, admission and discharge of patients, mobilization, and preparations for treatment, among others. In the evenings, weekends, and nights, we have an emergency reception in the department. At the emergency reception, we receive, prepare, and assist with examinations and cases of sexual violence. During the day, there is an experienced nurse on site as a coordinator in addition to the care teams, and in the evenings and nights, there is an emergency nurse present in addition to the care team. After a period of getting comfortable in your role, you will start working nights and will receive further training. As a nursing assistant with us, you need to be responsible and curious, as well as have a knack for good communication and collaboration. Work Group Our work group consists of nurses, nursing assistants, specialist nurses, doctors, physiotherapists, counselors, surgical planners, staffing coordinators, business developers, research nurses, and contact nurses. About You Basic requirements for employment as a nursing assistant: - Completed upper secondary education with at least 2250 credits, Nursing and Care Program or equivalent - For adult education, completed upper secondary education corresponding to at least 1400 credits in Nursing and Care education or equivalent. - Grading criteria: At least a grade of E in all courses (pass). - It is desirable to have a diploma from certified training via the Nursing and Care College, applicable to both youth and adult education. As you will be in constant dialogue with patients and colleagues, it is a requirement that you have good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written.
