The Support and Care department in Valdemarsviks municipality has approximately 310 employees working within social services, elderly care, healthcare, and support for people with disabilities. WORK TASKS As a home care employee, you contribute to creating a safe everyday life for our service users. With good service, high service level, and professionalism, you perform needs-assessed interventions based on implementation plans. The role requires significant personal responsibility, with tasks including personal care, shopping, laundry, cleaning, and social documentation. QUALIFICATIONS You are a certified nursing assistant, preferably with a specialization in dementia, elderly care, or welfare technology. Previous experience in home care is meritorious. We seek someone who takes pride in the profession, enjoys their work, and wants to deliver excellent care and service. You are calm, confident in yourself and your professional role. You are independent, can take initiative, and are good at collaborating with colleagues, care recipients, relatives, and other partners, both within and outside the organization. You are responsible, attentive to individual needs, and can quickly adapt and prioritize according to current circumstances. We expect you to easily build relationships, show respectful interaction, and possess strong empathetic abilities. We require Swedish language communication, both verbal and written, as the work involves numerous contact points and documentation. We expect computer proficiency and preferably experience with social documentation in the Lifecare system. We appreciate candidates who contribute positively to operational development and can work goal-oriented. Having a valid driver's license (B) and being an experienced driver in all weather conditions is a prerequisite for working with us. To be employed as a nursing assistant, you must attach proof of protected professional title or a certificate from your current employer confirming a permanent employment as a nursing assistant as of July 1, 2023. Significant emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.
