About this role

We are now looking for a colleague to join our team for day/evening shifts. Are you a trained nursing assistant with an interest in orthopedics? Then we have the position for you! About the job The responsibilities include participating in pre- and post-operative care, rehabilitation, wound treatment, performing technical tasks and measurements, as well as documenting in our journal system. We provide patients with the opportunity to be involved in their own care through a person-centered approach. One of the prerequisites is that you, as a nursing assistant, have support functions, including care-related services and a coordinator, so that you can spend more time with your patients. We are continuously working on improvement, and as an employee, you have the opportunity to influence the care provided to patients. About the workplace Orthopedics is a specialty that includes the treatment of fractures and other injuries to the musculoskeletal system. At the Orthopedic Clinic, we handle acute trauma, but we also perform planned surgeries such as hip and knee replacements. The Orthopedic Clinic in Varberg consists of two care departments: 3B with planned operations and 3C with acute operations, as well as an outpatient clinic. All staff members are scheduled to work weekends on the acute department. In the acute department, we work in three teams with 21 care beds. The planned section consists of 8-12 care beds and provides 5-day care. In this unit, you will work in a team with doctors, nurses, occupational therapists, and physiotherapists. We are constantly working on our care processes and have achieved good results in providing patients with quality and safe care in the shortest possible time. About you We are looking for someone who is a trained nursing assistant and has experience in orthopedic inpatient care. You should have completed the Acute Care course, 200 credits, if you started your education before 2021. Good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written, is required, as well as good computer skills. As a person, you have a high ability to collaborate and a positive attitude towards finding new solutions. You have a desire to grow within your own area of responsibility and are eager to share your knowledge and experiences with colleagues and students. Furthermore, you must be flexible and thrive in a varied environment. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability. We look forward to your application!
