About this role
In Region Gotland, you can develop and grow, both as an individual and together with others. When you work with us, you contribute to making Gotland an even better place for people in all walks of life. We make each other better.
Radiology Department
The Radiology Department is a separate unit at the Visby Hospital, with approximately 40 employees including radiology nurses, nursing assistants, doctors specializing in radiology, and resident doctors.
Each year, around 50,000 examinations are performed in our department. Gotland's location and summer tourism bring significant variation and diversity that clearly shape our operations. We find our department to be pleasant, with a good atmosphere and strong collaboration among staff categories, within the hospital's various clinics, primary care managed by the region, and private actors.
Your Responsibilities
As a nursing assistant, your tasks will include both administrative and IT-related duties, as well as patient-facing work, such as assisting radiology nurses and doctors in the examination rooms, and independently planning and organizing work in ultrasound together with doctors.
The Radiology Department has both elective and emergency workflows, making the work multifaceted and interesting.
You will be part of a team that rotates between different tasks, with scheduled working hours in the evenings and weekends, as well as on-call duties at night.
Who You Are
We are looking for a nursing assistant with extensive experience in healthcare and experience working in a radiology department.
We value your ability to collaborate, as radiology is a service unit that supports both internal and external actors, where good cooperation should be a driving force.
We place great importance on excellent patient interaction and working with the patient in focus. Therefore, we seek someone who is service-oriented with strong communication skills.
You should also demonstrate high engagement and perseverance to help drive the clinic forward and be active in our quality and change initiatives.
