The Operation Anesthesia ICU clinic in Mora has two operating departments - the central operating room with five operating theaters and the day surgery operating department with two operating theaters. In the central operating room, patients are operated on in the specialties of surgery, orthopedics, and urology. Some endoscopic activities also take place. The operating departments also include a sterile technical unit.

At the central operating room in Mora, we are a close-knit team that enjoys our work! You will work in a team where we care for one another and actively strive for a good working environment. As a nursing assistant in the operating team, you will work closely with the surgical nurse and the anesthesia nurse in the perioperative care of patients. Together with the surgical nurse, you are responsible for systematically planning and organizing the work related to surgical procedures, ensuring that hygienic and aseptic principles are adhered to, and preventing the spread of infection.

Qualifications
You who are applying should have a nursing assistant degree from the Health and Care program and preferably several years of experience in ward work. Upon graduation from the previous Health and Care program, you should have specializations in emergency care and medicine 2. Experience working in an operating department, emergency care, or intensive care is advantageous. You are positive and meticulous, have a patient-focused approach, and a good demeanor towards both patients and colleagues. You also have a good command of spoken and written Swedish and are comfortable working in a digital medical record management system. Your ability to multitask and handle stress is strong, and you have the capacity to keep many tasks in motion. We also value good collaboration skills and a flexible working style. Personal qualities and previous references will be given significant weight.

Information about the Job Title
As of July 1, 2023, the title of nursing assistant is a protected professional title. This means that you need a certificate from the National Board of Health and Welfare to use the title nursing assistant in healthcare and social services. You can apply for the certificate starting July 1, 2023. If you do not have a certificate, you can continue to work in healthcare and social services but under a different title than nursing assistant. For those offered a job with us at Region Dalarna after July 1, the title in your employment contract will be Care Assistant until you can present your certificate. If you had a permanent position with the title nursing assistant when the new regulations came into effect on July 1, 2023, you can continue to use the nursing assistant title for 10 years. You can retain the title even if you change workplace/employer after July 1. After that, you will need a certificate of protected professional title to use the title nursing assistant. Checks for suspicions and criminal records will be conducted.
