Operating Room Nurse

Together with the Operating Room Nurse and Anesthesia Nurse, you are responsible for preparing the operating room before and after surgery. You prepare the patient, retrieve instruments and related items for the procedure, set up the operating table, all technical equipment, assist with sterile setup and anesthesia preparations. During the surgery, you are responsible for providing the team with instruments and materials and documenting. We are a high-tech department with strict hygiene requirements, which demands precision and understanding of the perioperative process. You will work with both planned and emergency surgeries. About You You are a trained Nurse Assistant. We prefer that you have experience in surgical operations. You enjoy working in teams and have an interest in medical technology. As a person, you are calm, attentive, and accommodating in your approach, with an interest, willingness, and ability to help others and strive to deliver solutions. Your Future Workplace Central Operating Theater is part of the Anesthesia and Intensive Care Clinic at Kalmar County Hospital and is divided into three sections: surgery, orthopedics, and specialty section. The central operating theater has 15 operating rooms and serves specialties including general surgery, urology, orthopedics, gynecology, obstetrics, ENT surgery, dental/oral surgery, ophthalmology, and medical care. We also work with robotic surgery. The unit operates approximately 10,000 patients annually, and we have about 120 employees. Kalmar County Hospital is one of three hospitals in Kalmar County. It is an acute care hospital with specialist care, maternity, and delivery services. Over 2,300 people work here to provide good care and high patient safety to the county's residents.
