Nursing Assistant/Care Assistant Temporary Position, Light Care Ambulance Responsibilities The Light Care Ambulance primarily handles planned transfers between healthcare facilities, where patients have certain care needs but do not require emergency medical care. In the role of nursing assistant on the Light Care Ambulance, you will be responsible for conducting safe and secure transports between healthcare facilities and other care locations. The transports can be long, so we are looking for someone who enjoys driving and feels comfortable behind the wheel. Qualifications We prefer that you have a nursing education with a focus on healthcare. Courses in Emergency Medical Care (200 credits, previously known as Medical Care 200 credits) and Medicine 2 (100 credits, previously known as Medical Basic Course 100 credits and Nursing 150 credits) are desirable. Alternatively, equivalent older education or a nursing program with graduation after 2022. We also consider relevant work experience in the assessment of your qualifications. To assess employability, transcripts from your nursing education must be attached to your application. If you are a student, you may apply if you are in the nursing program from semester 4 or in the medical program from semester 6. As a person, you are flexible, responsible, and have good collaboration skills. We place great emphasis on personal suitability. A minimum of one year of experience in emergency medical care or ambulance training is advantageous. A valid driver's license (B) is required, as well as swimming proficiency (200 meters) and a passing result on the physical test that all applicants must undergo. Test days will take place on: November 24, November 27, December 11, December 18, January 9, and January 22. The day will include an interview, physical and driving tests. The day will be conducted in Örebro, Karlskoga, or Lindesberg and will take approximately 3 hours. The application should include a CV and cover letter. Certificates, transcripts, diplomas, etc., should be provided at a potential interview. Start date: By agreement. Mandatory training days will begin as early as spring. Attendance on these days is a requirement for employment. During training days and orientation sessions, a temporary employment contract will be offered. If you are or have previously been employed by Region Örebro County, we will take internal references from your current or previous supervisor if you are considered for employment. A background check from the Police Authority may be conducted in accordance with current legislation.
