About this role

About the Workplace Ersta Elderly Care is part of Ersta Diakoni and operates eight nursing homes in Stockholm and Uppsala. Our goal is to provide our residents with a safe and meaningful daily life, including activities, community, and good, enjoyable meals. Everyone should feel at home with us! Hannahemmet, or Hannakoti as we are called in Finnish, is a care and nursing home with 54 apartments in Bromma for individuals with somatic and dementia illnesses, located a short walk from Råcksta metro station. We are close to green areas and have a lush, verdant courtyard. Hannahemmet has a Finnish profile and therefore has Finnish-speaking staff on one of our dementia units. We also celebrate Finnish holidays and traditions. We use Tuncore's safety and movement alarms, which are managed through an app (TES) on the work phone. At night, camera sensors are activated where you can view residents' activity through an app on the work phone. We document in the Welfare journal system (previously Epsilon) and medications are digitally signed in "SignIt". As an employee, we offer a range of benefits that we hope will provide you with the conditions to enjoy your job and have a rewarding leisure time. About the Role As a night shift nursing assistant, you will closely collaborate with residents and colleagues. You and your colleagues plan the work shift based on individual resident needs and wishes. At night, you work alongside three other colleagues distributed across three floor levels, with one staff member as a floater. An on-call nurse from Klara Kompetens is available evenings and nights for nursing staff and makes home visits as needed and in priority order. Creating a sense of home and a meaningful daily life for our residents are important parts of the work. We focus on person-centered care, activities, care-oriented meals, and primary caregiver responsibilities. We work in residents' homes. The position involves night shift work with an employment rate of 85.3%, on a six-week rotating schedule. Working hours are 8:50 PM to 7:10 AM. Who Are You? Your personal qualities are important to us! You have a great interest in people and are confident in your professional role. You also find it easy to collaborate and communicate with colleagues and are thorough in your work. You share Ersta's core value of seeing the whole person and our values of professionalism, trust, and hope. Your Experience We are looking for someone who has: • Professional nursing assistant certification from the National Board of Health and Welfare • Previous experience in elderly care • Current/past authorization to administer medications • Good Swedish language skills, both spoken and written • Good skills in working with digital tools such as computers and mobile devices • Training in dementia care (e.g., Silvia Sister or equivalent) • Training in palliative care (e.g., representative training via palliative knowledge center or equivalent) Additional Recruitment Information Selection is ongoing, and the position may be filled before the application deadline. A criminal record check will be requested before employment. We apply probationary employment as standard.
