Are you a night owl who wants to make a difference for our care recipients? We are currently seeking a dedicated employee for Brattska GÄrden for a permanent position.
Responsibilities
At Brattska GÄrden, you will work to create a safe and meaningful everyday life for individuals with dementia, often in combination with mental health issues. Together with the individual, you will design personalized interventions that promote independence and participation. You will work with methods such as BPSD, Senior Alert, and low-arousal approaches. The job includes tasks ranging from cleaning and personal care to collaboration with other professionals such as nurses and cognitive teams, to provide comprehensive support to the individuals.
The work involves documentation and continuous follow-up of interventions through implementation plans, and you will also be responsible for assisting with medication in collaboration with the facility's nurse.
Your Workplace
Brattska GÄrden is located in VÄlberg and consists of five departments. The residential care facility primarily caters to individuals with dementia. Brattska GÄrden has a total of 48 places distributed across the departments Pilen, Almen, Syrenen, Linden, and Kastanjen.
We actively work to create an environment that promotes both safety and quality care. The facility mainly houses elderly individuals with dementia, but there is also a mix of different diagnoses and needs.
Working Hours: The position is scheduled for evenings and nights.
Qualifications
We are looking for someone who is a trained nursing assistant, preferably with a focus on dementia or equivalent education that the employer deems comparable. You should also have experience working night shifts and in care work to have a good foundation for the role. Experience with dementia diseases is an advantage. Since we work with the methods BPSD, Senior Alert, and low-arousal approaches, knowledge of these methods is also a merit.
Proficiency in Swedish, both spoken and written, is required, as we use the language as a working tool in contact with clients as well as in documentation and record-keeping.
We seek a person with strong collaboration skills who can resolve conflicts constructively. You are self-driven and take responsibility for your tasks while being attentive to others' needs and feedback. Your personal maturity helps you assess different situations, and your flexibility makes you open to changes, contributing to continuous improvements in the work.
