What does the job of a nursing assistant at Norlandia Elderly Care entail? A nursing assistant at Norlandia is a valuable key person, and we are looking for someone who is skilled in their professional role and enjoys meeting people in various situations. Together with the team, including nurses, rehabilitation staff, and management, we collaborate around the residents to provide a good life every day.
We are seeking someone with a genuine interest in elderly individuals, where your main responsibilities will be to design a safe and secure personal care and support plan. You will support the residents in their daily lives and create conditions for a safe and meaningful everyday experience. As a nursing assistant, you are responsible for providing high-quality care and support to the residents in accordance with what has been agreed upon in their care plans.
This includes, among other things:
• Acting as a contact person based on Norlandia's concept "Your Day."
• Providing personal care and support while utilizing the residents' own resources.
• Working according to Norlandia's concept "Tasty Meals" to ensure that our residents appreciate the food and that the meal experience adds joy to their daily lives.
• Documenting in accordance with the Social Services Act; maintaining social journals and establishing and following up on care plans.
• Planning, offering, and implementing daily activities, outdoor excursions, entertainment, crafts, cultural activities, etc., both individual and group activities.
• Performing service tasks such as cleaning apartments, laundry, escorting, and shopping.
• Receiving and executing delegated tasks such as medication delegation.
• Taking responsibility in representative roles.
• Actively participating in the organization's quality and improvement work.
About Kvarnåsen Elderly Home: Kvarnåsen is located in Årjäng Municipality, Värmland County, near the Norwegian border. Kvarnåsen is centrally located in the community, close to the bus station, and is only 120 kilometers from Oslo with good bus connections. Årjäng offers rich natural experiences with several lakes for excellent fishing and beautiful nature reserves with many hiking trails. Kvarnåsen has 92 apartments distributed across nine units. We offer dementia care, psychogeriatric care, and somatic care. Each unit has a kitchen, dining room/living room, and opportunities for outdoor activities. In the Pillar Hall, there is a meeting place where our activity coordinator organizes activities based on residents' wishes. Here we celebrate birthdays, traditions, and various festivities – all to ensure that the elderly experience a Good Life – every day. Meals are prepared by chefs in the municipal restaurant kitchen located in the building. Our focus areas are quality care through Health, Food & Community.

• You need to have proof of the right to use the professional title nursing assistant from the National Board of Health and Welfare.
• Previous experience in care and support is an advantage.
• You need to have good knowledge of documentation.
• You must have a strong command of the Swedish language, both spoken and written.
• We prefer that you have good computer skills/computer familiarity.
• We want you to have a good understanding of the national quality registers relevant to the operations.

Employment type: Permanent
Scope: Part-time 75-85%
Start date: By agreement
Probationary period: We apply a 6-month probationary period.
We implement individual salary setting and have a collective agreement. Interviews are conducted continuously, and the position may be filled before the application deadline. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.
Before a potential employment, you must be able to present an extract from the criminal record. You also need to be able to prove that you have the right to work in Sweden by showing that you have citizenship within the EU/EEA or a valid work permit.
