Nursing Assistant, Dermatology and STD Clinic, Umeå

We are now seeking a Nurse Assistant for our clinic Skin and STD Clinic within Region Västerbotten is a small operation with significant responsibilities. The clinic is responsible for dermatological and venereological healthcare throughout the county and has regional responsibility for several diagnostic groups. The clinic operates a general dermatology reception and an STD clinic for sexually transmitted infections. Various specialized clinics such as occupational and environmental dermatology, vulva clinic, genital dermatology, tumor clinic, skin surgery, and laser treatment are also part of the operation. Telemedicine services with Lycksele and Skellefteå, as well as light therapy, are included. Research and teaching are conducted in close collaboration with Umeå University. The clinic is a certified health-promoting workplace and LGBTQ-certified. As an employee at the Skin and STD Clinic, you will work in a team of various specialties, and together we create a pleasant and developmental work environment. Approximately 40 people work at the clinic. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES As a Nurse Assistant at the Skin and STD Clinic, you will interact with children and adults with skin diseases. Your work will consist of varied tasks such as dressing changes, skin treatments, assisting doctors during consultations and minor surgeries. You will also work in light therapy and STI reception. The work may be somewhat static and may involve uncomfortable working positions. Healthcare administration is also part of your duties. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for someone with an approved Nurse Assistant education and nursing education with a healthcare focus. Since Nurse Assistant will be a protected title as of July 1, 2023, you need to provide documentation from the National Board of Health and Welfare. You are an engaged person who takes responsibility for patient well-being and the further development of the operation. You have good collaboration skills, are self-driven, and take responsibility for your tasks. Furthermore, you have the ability to work with varied assignments. Great importance will be placed on personal suitability.
