You must be a fully qualified nursing assistant and able to provide proof of your qualifications for this position.
We are looking for you who are a nursing assistant with knowledge and interest in working with individuals who have memory disorders (dementia) and/or mental health issues, as we only serve such clients in our home care operations. You can work both in home care and as a residential support worker if you wish.
HOME CARE
Start date: Immediately
Working hours: 07:30 AM - 04:30 PM
Schedule: Four-week rotating schedule (this means you work on a schedule that spans four weeks, with every other week including weekend work). 100% - 37/37
Education requirement: Fully qualified nursing assistant with a passing Swedish grade of 1500 points
Salary: Based on the collective agreement of the organization (Almega Care Entrepreneurs)
A probationary period of 6 months applies from the date of employment according to the collective agreement.
To work in the organization, it is advantageous if you:
- Have knowledge, experience, and interest in working with people who have various forms of dementia or mental health issues
- Have worked for an extended period in home care or assisted living
- Have excellent Swedish language skills in both spoken and written form, as you will be visiting clients who may have difficulty understanding and speaking, and you will need to document in journals and read instructions.
- Are social, persistent, patient, stress-resistant, proactive, and creative in your approach to work
- Can handle stress and plan and structure your work effectively
- Have good local knowledge of inner Stockholm as you will be getting around using public transport or walking

Job Responsibilities
You will follow an assistance schedule and visit clients in their own homes to perform the services that have been approved according to the assistance decision. The decision includes, among other things, taking care of general hygiene and personal hygiene, showering, cooking, social interaction, cleaning, laundry, shopping, accompanying clients to various facilities, and walking. We work extensively on motivation to ensure that we can perform the services, utilizing various working methods as aids.
We have team leaders and administrators who staff the office during the day, where you can turn for support in your daily work.
Who We Are
Stockholm's Dementia and Special Team is a home care company that provides services in clients' own homes. The organization also offers escort services, respite care, and residential support.
The organization primarily targets clients with varying degrees of dementia, mental health issues, disabilities, and substance abuse problems. Depending on your experience, skills, and interests, you may work more specifically with one of these conditions or a mix.
We use the time reporting system Paragå, where employees log in and out of each client visit using mobile phones, NFC tags, and document directly on-site in the client's journal. Paragå monitors logins via GPS.
Where We Are and How You Get Around to Clients
We have clients in 8 different districts, and you start and end each work shift from Södermalm, where our office is located, regardless of which district you are in during the day. You will travel to clients using public transport or walking (the organization does not have any cars). An SL card is a requirement for this position.
