The Role of Nursing Assistant
As a nursing assistant, you will be an essential part of our multidisciplinary team. You will work closely with nurses, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, and doctors to provide each patient with the best conditions to achieve their goals.
The work involves nursing and rehabilitative interventions, such as:
• Care for patients in rehabilitation
• Responsibility for nursing issues within the team
• Participation in planning regarding coordination and care interventions
• Support for patients and relatives in their rehabilitation process
• Follow-up on care plans
• Medical tasks such as sample collection and tube feeding
• Actively participate in development and improvement work

As a nursing assistant on the care unit, you will work day, evening, and weekend shifts. The position is a full-time temporary contract with a start date to be agreed upon and lasting until August 31, 2026.

The Rehabilitation Medicine Clinic is a modern workplace focused on collaboration and learning. We work in teams with various professional roles to provide the best possible care and support to patients in need of rehabilitation. Our primary diagnostic groups include neurological injuries and diseases, but other diagnostic groups are also present. Here, you will have the opportunity to follow the patient's development over time and see how our interventions make a difference. We meet patients aged 18 and older who require team-based rehabilitation efforts.
With us, you will have the opportunity for longer patient contact, good continuity, and you will follow the patient's progress in their return to life based on their changing circumstances. In the care unit, the work is centered on rehabilitative care where you support and motivate the patient towards increased independence. You will collaborate with colleagues in an engaged team and have the opportunity to follow the patient's development over time. Our focus is on training, care, and reintegration into daily life.
The operation is region-wide and is located in Jönköping, Nässjö, and Värnamo. Organizationally, the Rehabilitation Medicine Clinic belongs to the area of Psychiatry, Rehabilitation, and Diagnostics in Region Jönköping County. We are looking for someone who is a trained nursing assistant and is confident in their professional role. We also see that you have an interest in taking on your own areas of responsibility and working on improvement and development efforts at the clinic. If you have previous experience in this, we view it positively. As a person, you are responsible and solution-oriented. You have a structured work approach and can easily adapt to new conditions.
