Bollnäs Hospital is one of Region Gävleborg's leading units for hip and knee prosthesis surgeries. In Bollnäs, approximately 70 percent of Region Gävleborg's elective inpatient orthopedic procedures—hips, knees, and spines—are performed. In addition, we handle a high volume of day surgery operations. The hospital is located in Bollnäs, a town that offers rich outdoor life and proximity to nature. Do you want to make a difference? We are looking for a driven temporary junior doctor with aspirations to become an orthopedic surgeon for our postoperative department in Bollnäs. Welcome to develop together with us!
**JOB DESCRIPTION**
As a junior doctor with us, you will be responsible for ensuring that both medication and discharge information are provided correctly, in collaboration with the senior physician/specialist. You will work in a team with specialist doctors, physiotherapists, nurses, and nursing assistants. Your primary focus will be on the care department, but you will also have the opportunity to assist in surgeries, mainly hip and knee prostheses.
As a junior doctor, you will work with:
- Assessment and follow-up of patients after surgery
- Prescription of medications and treatments in consultation with the responsible physician
- Collaboration with nurses and other healthcare staff to ensure safe and secure care
- Documentation in the medical record system and communication with relatives
- Participation in rounds and contributing to improvement work in the department.

In the role of junior doctor, you should:
- Be a licensed physician, alternatively approved up to and including term 10 or further in your medical studies, or be a graduate or licensed from a non-European country with the authority to work as a physician in Sweden, or be a medical student from an EU country.
