About this role
We warmly welcome you to Filipstad!
Your workplace
The Filipstad Health Center has approximately 9,600 registered patients.
Here, 30 professionals work together, including doctors, district nurses, registered nurses, nursing assistants, social workers, psychologists, healthcare administrators, and foot therapists. Our newly renovated facilities are located in what was previously the Filipstad hospital, which also houses a laboratory, physiotherapy, occupational therapy, a family center, and municipal healthcare services.
Do you want to be close to work, enjoy fresh air, and have both forest and lake at your doorstep? Do you seek a calm and secure environment for you and your family, with welcoming neighbors and accessible networks? Then you should live and work here with us in Filipstad. Here, you will find affordable housing, a charming town center, and all the advantages of small-town living. There are two prestigious colleges: Bergsskolan and Gammelkroppa Forestry School. The Meal Academy, Lundsberg School, and Karlstad University are not far away. It is equally distant to Gothenburg, Stockholm, and Oslo, and you can easily reach these cities by bus, train, or car.
The Filipstad Health Center is a stable and well-functioning workplace where we encourage further education and personal development. We have fun both during and outside work hours and support our colleagues and patients. Our temporary staff enjoy their time here and often return, which we see as a positive endorsement. With us, you will have the opportunity to explore the breadth of general medicine.
Your responsibilities
We are currently seeking one or two temporary resident doctors to complement our team. We hope that your employment will transition into a BT/ST position after a temporary period of 6 months. Since the temporary position will be under supervision, you can count this time towards your ST service.
Your tasks will be typical for a health center, including scheduled and unscheduled visits, close collaboration with other professionals, and possibly an area of responsibility where you can deepen your knowledge based on your interests and competencies.
Examples of areas of responsibility include diabetes, asthma/COPD, municipal healthcare, midwifery services, child health services, and youth clinics. Together, we will tailor your service according to your areas of interest and development needs. Your supervisor will be one of our knowledgeable specialists in general medicine, with extensive experience in training medical professionals.
Your qualifications and competencies
We are looking for someone with a Swedish medical license.
As a person, you should be stable and secure in your professional role, with the ability to see the whole picture of the patient's situation. You work with a focus on quality and structure, are meticulous, and actively contribute to good teamwork.
Together, we create a work environment characterized by engagement and effective collaboration. We hope you want to become a part of our team!
