The Dermatology and STD Clinic in Region Västerbotten is a small operation with significant responsibilities. The clinic is responsible for dermatological and venereological healthcare across the entire county and has regional responsibility for several diagnostic groups. The clinic provides general dermatology services as well as an STD clinic for sexually transmitted infections. Various specialized clinics, including occupational and environmental dermatology, vulvar clinic, genital dermatology, tumor clinic, skin surgery, and laser treatment, are also part of the operation. We also offer telemedicine consultations in Lycksele and Skellefteå, where light treatments are available. Research and education are conducted at the clinic in close collaboration with Umeå University.
At the Dermatology and STD Clinic at Norrland University Hospital, you will be offered an interesting and challenging position in a dynamic and improvement-oriented environment. We prioritize individual development with a clear focus on supervision and education. As a junior doctor, you will be part of a workgroup consisting of various professional categories and specialties. Together, we create a pleasant and developmental work environment. Approximately 40 people work at the clinic in total.
We are now seeking a junior doctor for a fixed-term position at the Dermatology and STD Clinic in Umeå.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
As a junior doctor with us, you will contribute knowledge and commitment that makes patients feel secure. You will work independently with specialized dermatological care in our dermatology clinic. You will also collaborate with other professional categories and have the opportunity to seek support from a specialist doctor when needed. From day one, you will have an assigned supervisor with whom you can reflect and develop.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for someone with a Swedish medical license. Experience in dermatology and sexually transmitted diseases or related specialties is an advantage. Research and teaching experience is also considered a merit. You should have a good command of Swedish and be able to use the language in both spoken and written form, at least at B2 level.
You will encounter a large number of patients, so we expect you to be attentive, have a good demeanor, and be engaged in the well-being of patients. You can manage multiple tasks simultaneously and adapt to changing circumstances. You work well independently as well as collaboratively with other colleagues in the work team.
