Vehicle Maintenance Technician - Temporary Position

Your New Job As a maintenance technician, you will be responsible, together with your colleagues, for the maintenance and availability of the municipality's vehicle fleet of approximately 1,000 vehicles. You will work in a workshop environment under your own responsibility, but also collaboratively with your immediate colleagues and other professionals in the municipality. The role involves extensive customer contact with those who rent vehicles within Jönköping Municipality. The position requires safety awareness as work is also performed in traffic and among people. Your responsibilities include: - Vehicle reconditioning - Creating booking schedules - Customer support for vehicle-related questions - Transportation of vehicles to and from the workshop - Planning internal transports - Maintenance of unit tools and vehicle care assets - Collaboration with colleagues The operation is involved in the municipality's winter preparedness, and there may be opportunities to participate. As a maintenance technician, you will belong to the technical services division and the Vehicle Central unit. Vehicle Central is responsible for meeting customer transportation needs by procuring, managing, and renting out passenger cars, light trucks, and passenger car trailers to municipal departments. You will become part of the Technical Office and the Street, Park, Forest division, which manages streets, roads, squares, parks, playgrounds, nature reserves, forests, parking, harbors, ferry traffic, industrial tracks, and internal vehicle services. You will be based at Vägporten, Vasavägen 10 in Rosenlund. As a maintenance technician, you contribute to an attractive and safe place for everyone to live, reside, and work in.
