Maintenance Technician at Stockholm Water and Waste

WORK TASKS
Stockholm Water and Waste delivers drinking water and manages wastewater for 1.5 million customers, 24/7 year-round. To ensure this, the Pipeline Network Technology unit works with operation and maintenance of approximately 1,000 pump stations, water reservoirs, and pressure boosters. The unit consists of 45 employees distributed across five groups: Preventive Maintenance, Corrective Maintenance, Electrical & Automation, Operations and Planning, and Strategy and Follow-up.
We have high demands for delivery reliability and drinking water quality, which places equally high requirements on well-functioning maintenance and optimal operation of our facilities. As a maintenance technician, you have a key role in ensuring that our facilities and associated properties function as they should, both today and in the future.
The position is a permanent employment based in Högdalen.
In your role, you will work both operationally and development-oriented. You will perform maintenance work and renovations to prevent and address problems, while identifying improvement opportunities to develop both the facilities and the operations. To succeed in the role, you also need to have a deep understanding of the facilities' operations and function, which will help you find the most effective solutions.
Your main tasks:
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on technical equipment and properties.
• Carry out renovations and repairs to ensure operational reliability.
• Continuously work on improvement proposals to develop facility functions and efficiency.
• Ensure and contribute to optimal facility operation by understanding their function in detail.
With your technical knowledge and problem-solving skills, you will work to ensure stable and secure delivery of high-quality drinking water while contributing to efficient wastewater management solutions.
QUALIFICATIONS
To succeed in the role of maintenance technician with us, you as a person need to have a genuine interest in water and sewage technology. You have a high safety awareness, are unpretentious with your knowledge, and have a humble approach where you see opportunities in change. You also have the ability to collaborate with your colleagues in the unit to succeed in the task.
What we are looking for in you:
• High school education or equivalent experience assessed by the employer
• Several years of experience in maintenance work within water/sewage or industry
• Class B driver's license
• Good computer skills
• Experience working in maintenance systems
• Very good Swedish language skills, both spoken and written
Education or work experience deemed equivalent in water/sewage operations and/or maintenance technician roles, as well as a Class C driver's license, are meritorious.
In your position, you will be working with security-classified information. A security screening and register check will therefore be conducted in connection with employment.
