Company Description This is us, your new colleagues! Vattenfall AB Värme Uppsala produces and delivers approximately 1,500 GWh of district heating in Uppsala, Knivsta, and Storvreta. In Uppsala, district cooling and steam are also produced and delivered, and the facility generates electricity. The operation is based on waste incineration with mainly bio-fuel-fired facilities complementing it during the cold part of the year. In Sweden, we deliver district heating, district cooling, and steam to industries, property owners, and residential customers in fifteen municipalities. Värme Sverige is the fourth largest district heating provider in Sweden, delivering sustainable heating to approximately 200,000 Swedish households, as well as heat, cooling, and steam to industrial customers. Vattenfall Värme is now seeking an Electrical Maintenance Engineer who wants to influence tomorrow's climate-smart society and help our customers transition to fossil-free solutions. As an Electrical Maintenance Engineer, you will play a central role in ensuring our electrical facilities are maintained efficiently through careful planning and follow-up of both preventive and corrective measures. You will also participate in renovation and expansion projects as a requirements setter and be involved in procurement of framework agreements and similar. The role includes corrective maintenance, both as a performer and as support for our technicians. You will work in our maintenance system SAP-PM with facility registers, work order management, maintenance plans, etc. Responsibilities and Duties as Maintenance Engineer: • Ensure necessary maintenance measures and technical solutions in both short and long-term perspectives. • Develop and manage effective maintenance plans for our substations and operations. • Provide technical support to team leaders and technicians during corrective maintenance. • Lead or participate in investigations (RCA) of operational disruptions and major cost drivers. • Be involved in procurements regarding service agreements. • Identify investment needs for modernization, development, and upgrades. • Work on studies/pre-studies for future investments. • Provide expertise and requirements in projects and risk analyses. • Stay updated on technology and methods. The work is varied; you will be in our operations close to our core business, participate in project meetings, work in teams, and also work independently in and outside the office. The position also includes scheduled on-call duty. Requirements: • Post-secondary education, Master's degree, Bachelor's degree, or Vocational Higher Education degree in Electrical Power Engineering. • At least 3-5 years of experience working with electrical installations in similar industry. • Competence and experience in high voltage, low voltage, electrical operations, cable dimensioning, and design. • Good knowledge of electrical safety and ESA (Electrical Safety Instructions). • Strong ability to express yourself verbally and in writing in Swedish and English. • Driving license (B-class) is required. • Knowledge of AutoCAD/ElProCAD is meritorious. • Competence in SAP PM/MM is meritorious.
