About this role
Are you driven by seeing your ideas come to life? Welcome to our exciting and technology-intensive world.
**Your Role**
You will belong to a section responsible for maintenance resources for avionics, primarily for the Gripen, but also for other platforms. Maintenance is performed on most electronic devices in the aircraft and at various levels, from using subcontractors to troubleshooting and replacing individual components on circuit boards. This means that the maintenance resources vary in complexity. The work thus spans several different technical areas, including analog, digital, software, microwave technology, and measurement technology.
Your tasks will include the development and support of maintenance resources for avionics devices, encompassing both hardware and software. You will also be involved in projects that may include monitoring progress, scope, and finances, as well as documenting completed work to meet the requirements of regulations such as EMAR, EASA, etc.
The role also involves providing support both internally and externally. Internally, you will support our avionics workshops by assisting with troubleshooting complex issues and contributing to improvement efforts. You will also provide technical support to external customers, end-users, and other Saab units in need of assistance.
**Your Profile**
We believe that you, as a candidate, have an academic degree in engineering or equivalent work experience in a similar role. You have worked with and possess good knowledge of electronics.
To succeed in this role, you need to have a strong drive, a positive attitude, and a solution-oriented approach. You are a flexible and sociable person with a natural ability to communicate and collaborate. It is also required that you are structured and can document completed work, both for traceability related to aviation regulations and to ensure tasks can be resumed later. Therefore, we are looking for someone who enjoys structuring, analyzing, and solving technical challenges while working carefully and methodically. We place great importance on your personal suitability for the role.
We value a technical interest. Additionally, experience in programming in C++ is an advantage. Desirable qualifications include experience in measurement technology, aircraft maintenance at the system or component level, work within the armed forces, as well as project management or participation in technical development projects.
The position requires you to undergo and be approved according to the applicable security protection regulations. For positions where Saab has requirements for security classification, this may entail requirements for certain citizenship.
