About this role
Do you want to be part of an amazing team? Do you want to contribute to our clients' next positive steps in life?
About Viljan Ugglegatan HVB
HVB Ugglegatan is a smaller residential facility in Linköping with five apartments that offers a safe and individualized environment. Each residence has its own apartment within a shared stairwell, creating both independence and proximity to support. The facility is designed to provide intensive treatment and meet needs that traditional HVB homes may struggle to address.
To ensure high quality, we maintain a high staff-to-client ratio with staff available around the clock, including awake night shifts. Our setup allows us to tailor support entirely based on individual needs and the specifications of the social services mandate.
As a natural extension of our operations, we also offer a smaller supported living arrangement. Here, those who are ready for the next step towards independence can continue their development while retaining their previous contact persons and staff. The level of support in the supported living arrangement is adjusted according to individual needs to create a safe transition to adult life.
Target Group: Active Omsorg Ugglegatan HVB provides psychosocial treatment for girls and transgender individuals aged 14-20 who are in unsuitable environments, have committed minor offenses, have experimented with drugs, or exhibit threatening behavior.
About the Role of Social Pedagogue
We work with commitment in everything concerning our clients. The job involves meeting people in crisis and/or difficult life situations, making it very important that you can see opportunities, convey hope, and meet people in a respectful manner. Together, you will engage in practical daily activities, such as practicing everyday skills.
You will serve as a support for the client, and together you will develop strategies to achieve everyday goals. The aim is for our clients to gain greater self-confidence, leading to an increased ability to manage their daily lives.
Working with youth in a HVB home places high demands on your patience and your ability to create engagement, participation, and trusting relationships with both the youth and your colleagues. As a social pedagogue with us, we expect you to be self-assured and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
You will spend part of your working hours alone with the youth in their apartment, which requires you to be capable of planning, implementing, following up, and completing your work with the youth. We expect you to have good communication skills and to remain calm even in stressful situations, handling conflicts constructively. You are expected to uphold the treatment structure of the residence by actively working on relationship building, motivational work, documentation, and ensuring that routines at the residence are followed. Other important qualities include a fundamental attitude of respect, equality, and kindness.
Qualifications
You are relationship-oriented and have a good ability to establish contact with people in vulnerable situations. You are calm, stable, and can maintain a realistic perspective on situations that arise in daily work. You possess good collaboration skills and relate to others in a responsive manner, enjoying working with others. You are an independent, humble, and responsible person who is passionate about care work and can recognize the needs of individuals.
We place great emphasis on personal suitability.
