We are now seeking two project economists to strengthen our team! This is an opportunity for you who want to work with qualified financial tasks in development projects.
You have a background in economics and are curious about the Migration Agency as a workplace. The position is a permanent employment where you can choose to be based in Norrköping, Sundbyberg, or Gothenburg.
As part of our mission, the Migration Agency is tasked with developing the authority, much of which occurs in project form. The portfolio unit is a support function responsible for planning, initiating, supporting, and following up on development activities, from project idea and financing to final reporting. Currently, 13 employees work in the unit, including experts, controllers, economists, and leaders. As a project economist with us, you will work closely with your colleagues and be part of a team of economists. Your colleagues are located in Norrköping, Sundbyberg, Gothenburg, and Malmö. What does a project economist do?
As a project economist, you will work in the Migration Agency's development projects, assisting with qualified financial tasks and ensuring that the projects operate in accordance with internal regulations. Your responsibilities will include forecasting, accounting, as well as monitoring, analyzing, and reconciling the project's finances. You will prepare financial status and final reports, primarily for steering groups and controllers. In this role, you will work closely with project management and be part of the unit's finance team, where you will have the opportunity for onboarding, mentorship, and support in various aspects of your work.

You who are applying have:
- An academic degree in economics, preferably with a focus on accounting, or another academic qualification combined with relevant and current experience
- Several years of practical experience in qualified financial work
- Excellent communication skills and can express yourself well in both spoken and written Swedish and English
- Good knowledge of the Office suite, particularly Excel
It is advantageous if you have:
- Several years of practical experience working with financial systems, preferably Unit 4 ERP (Agresso)
- Experience in financial work within the public sector
- Experience in project finance
- Experience with project support systems, preferably Antura

Working hours: Office hours. Travel is included in the position.
