Welcome to Skogsgläntans Preschool in Morgårdshammar. We are currently seeking two preschool teachers for our operations. We have three newly renovated, bright departments currently divided into 1 infant department, Northern Lights, and 2 sibling departments, Rainbow and Sunbeam. Proximity to nature is highly appreciated by both children and staff, and we can reach the forest with just a few minutes' walk. The large outdoor yard offers a mix of play equipment, swings, grass areas, and opportunities for adventures and discoveries in our own "forest". There is also an option for outdoor napping for children in the Sunbeam department through a covered and enclosed outdoor area. Food is prepared on-site in our own kitchen and is highly appreciated by both children and staff. Job Responsibilities As a preschool teacher at Skogsgläntans Preschool, you will be part of a team of three people in the Sunbeam department. In your role as a preschool teacher, you are responsible for ensuring that teaching is conducted in accordance with curriculum guidelines and that documentation, reflection, and analysis lead to a continuously evolving operation that meets all children's diverse needs. Each week, you have 2 hours of individual planning time and 2 hours of collaborative planning time with your team. A special education teacher provides monthly guidance in each team, with the principal also participating. We are seeking someone who wants to contribute their commitment and knowledge about pedagogical work and development in preschool. You should be a clear and good role model, a trustworthy adult who can interact with children at their level and who can recognize each child's developmental potential. Your approach should be characterized by care, warmth, and an understanding of children's different needs. We work with a clear structure for teaching and play groups to ensure both guided activities and free play are given space in our operations. You have good knowledge about the importance of play for learning and can create spaces and learning environments to promote this. We focus on daily reading aloud to establish and strengthen children's language and writing development. At the preschool, we also welcome a "reading grandmother" who comes to read with the children. We are currently implementing the Motivation Lift in all municipal preschools. This involves working early with value-based work and self-leadership with our children using working materials to prepare them for future challenges.
