About this role

Swedish Customs (Tullverket) is undergoing an extensive and exciting development work that involves changing work methods, electronic solutions, automated and standardized processes and methods. Then this might be something for you! The Control Department is one of Tullverket's four operational departments. The Control Department has a broad mandate to ensure that only approved goods pass Sweden's border. The mission is to conduct customs controls on imports and exports where Tullverket searches for goods that violate restrictions and to ensure that correct customs duties and taxes are collected. The Control Department's mission is to stop or seriously disrupt organized crime and ensure competition neutrality. Organizationally, you will belong to the Control Department's management support. About the Position The Control Department is now seeking an engaged business developer with great drive and experience working in an organization with continuous changes and improvements. We are looking for someone who is senior in their role and is accustomed to and enjoys working independently and taking initiative. You will lead and participate in various projects related to the development of our operations, both short and long-term. Although most work will be conducted within development areas, there may also be assignments supporting the department management with tasks from Management and the Department. As a Business Developer, you will: • Participate in development areas to identify business needs and requirements • Work with various business development methods and tools • Participate in, plan, organize, prioritize, and follow up work • Analyze and translate business needs and requirements into solutions or improvements • Act as a change leader in various development and delivery areas • Support management as needed by preparing, facilitating, and compiling meeting results • Work with process and workflow mapping from start to finish We are seeking candidates who have: • Academic degree in political science, social science, or other education with equivalent experience • Current and documented completed training in business development • Documented experience working with development from both internal and external perspectives • Documented experience in change management related to changed work methods and system changes • Strong communication skills in both spoken and written Swedish and English • Documented experience with process and workflow mapping It is meritorious if you have: • Experience working with customs procedures within or outside Tullverket • Documented experience in meeting techniques, facilitation, and presentation techniques • Experience in project management • Experience in requirements specification based on business needs Personal Qualities We are seeking someone with a good ability to engage and lead others towards goals and communicate clearly and distinctly.
