We offer an independent and varied role in an environment of unpretentious collaboration with competent and friendly colleagues. You will be part of the HR department and one of the authority's eight HR Generalists, two of whom are based in Gothenburg.
Although the generalist group is geographically spread between Gothenburg, Malmö, and Stockholm, you will experience it as close-knit due to ongoing dialogue and regular digital meetings. The working climate in the group is trusting, learning-oriented, and supportive. You will also collaborate extensively with various HR specialists as well as our HR support team.
Your immediate supervisor is based in Stockholm, as is the HR Director of the Customs Authority.

You will utilize a broad general competence across the entire HR field and provide consultative support in recruitment, labor law, workplace environment, rehabilitation, competency planning, employer branding, salary formation, group development, transition, misconduct cases, etc.
You need to be able to navigate comfortably between "high and low," be operational, and simultaneously drive or participate in strategic activities within the HR field. The managers you will support are located both in Gothenburg and other locations. Most support will occur through remote dialogue, but travel may also be required.
We are looking for someone who has:
• A higher education degree in HR or equivalent education or work experience that we deem comparable
• Several years of recent experience providing broad operational and strategic HR support to managers
• Experience supporting managers in recruitment
• Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written
It is advantageous if you have:
• Experience providing HR support to managers in government operations or public administration
• Experience working with data-driven HR, for example, using AI and BI
As a person, you are:
• Responsible: You independently and effectively drive your work forward. You come prepared and rarely need reminders about tasks on your plate.
• Proactive: You see what needs to be done in ongoing work and ensure it happens. You also identify improvement opportunities and initiate concrete and smart actions.
• Solution-oriented: You are driven by and energized by finding solutions and seeing results. You rarely get stuck on problems but find ways forward based on your unpretentious approach.
• Flexible: You find it relatively easy to handle changed or unclear conditions. You thrive when there is some room for interpretation, allowing you to use your own judgment.
• Good at collaborating: Others find you easy to work with because you listen attentively, communicate effectively, and resolve conflicts constructively. You are open, generous, and build bridges.
We place great importance on personal suitability!
