About this role
Do you want to work with exciting and developmental tasks alongside your team and contribute to the Swedish Customs' crime-fighting operations? Then you should apply for the position of Group Leader for an Observation Unit in Malmö.
The Swedish Customs is tasked with limiting organized and large-scale crime and preventing the illegal importation of narcotics and doping substances, alcohol, tobacco, weapons, and other goods that threaten life, health, and the environment. The agency aims to reduce the number of criminal networks involved in drug, alcohol, or tobacco smuggling or economic crime.
The Swedish Customs consists of four operational departments: the Control Department, the Revenue Department, the Intelligence Department, and the Customs Criminal Department. The Customs Criminal Department is responsible for the agency's criminal investigation activities and technical intelligence gathering. The operations work within the framework of preliminary investigations of crimes or actions that will lead to preliminary investigations aimed at prosecuting the masterminds behind criminal activities, reducing the profitability of crime, and significantly disrupting criminal activities.
The Customs' preliminary investigation operations include a national IT and technology center responsible for covert coercive measures, surveillance technology, and IT forensics, the Customs laboratory, and four customs criminal units responsible for their respective geographic areas: South, West, East, and North.
