The Municipal Executive Office is responsible for management and coordination of all municipal activities. The administration includes several supporting and governing functions such as HR, communication, finance, IT, and Security. POSITION: Safety Coordinator The Safety Coordinator position is located within the Security Department. The department is responsible for driving work in crime prevention, safety promotion, crisis preparedness, and civil defense. The department also provides support to various municipal activities in these areas. The Security Department consists of three employees and a manager who all lead development work in different areas. The department's main task is to function as a knowledge and method support based on governance documents for safety, security, and preparedness work. Strengthening citizens' sense of safety and preventing crime is a complex challenge requiring collaboration across different societal sectors. This requires coordinated efforts. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES • Serve as a method and knowledge support for safety and crime prevention • Lead, drive, coordinate, and develop agreed change and development processes • Concretize activities based on identified needs and challenges • Analyze and make current statistics on safety and crime prevention accessible • Identify needs through statistical analysis • Support implementation of interventions • Develop strategic, systematic, and operational work within municipal operations • Collaborate in regional efforts to strengthen safety and crime prevention Flexible working hours from Monday to Friday with potential for remote work when operationally feasible. QUALIFICATIONS Required: • Academic degree (minimum C-level) in public health science, criminology, behavioral science, or equivalent • Strong documentation and communication skills in Swedish • Valid B driver's license Preferred: • Experience in politically governed organizations • Experience in cross-professional collaboration • Experience in safety, crime prevention, and development work Personal Characteristics: • Process-oriented • Strong organizational and planning skills • Ability to complete tasks and meet deadlines • Comfortable in uncertain contexts • Confident in expressing opinions • Adaptable with a solution-focused approach Personal suitability will be heavily weighted.
