Funkaboskolan is located just north of Kalmar city center and is one of the oldest schools in the city. The catchment area extends from Ölandsleden in the south to Krafslösa in the north. To the east, we border Kalmarsund and to the west, Norra vägen. Funkaboskolan is a K-9 school with approximately 850 students and 120 staff members. JOB DESCRIPTION Would you like to contribute to a safe, inclusive, and joyful school where all students have the opportunity to grow both socially and academically? We are now seeking two dedicated safety educators for Funkaboskolan: one for our younger students in grades K-3 and one for our middle-aged students in grades 4-6. As a safety educator, you will work to create a positive, inclusive, and safe school environment. You will be a present adult in the daily life of the school, supporting students in social situations, building relationships, and preventing conflicts. You will collaborate closely with teachers, student health services, and school management to strengthen the school's safety efforts and contribute to a good working environment for both students and staff. Your main responsibilities will include: - Supporting students in their daily lives both individually and in groups. - Working preventively against harassment, bullying, and exclusion. - Participating in safety teams, recess activities, and social events. - Contributing to the school's core values work. - Documenting and following up on safety initiatives. - Collaborating with guardians and external stakeholders as needed. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for someone who: - Is a qualified teacher in after-school care. - Has a strong ability to build trust and relationships. - Is confident, attentive, and clear in their interactions. - Is passionate about the development and well-being of children and young people. - Enjoys working both independently and as part of a team. - Experience in school and after-school activities is an advantage. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION Kalmar Municipality verifies identity and work permits before hiring anyone. This means that you, as an applicant, will need to present identification. As a permanent employee of Kalmar Municipality, you will be assigned to your workplace and expected to contribute your work during heightened readiness.
