The Municipal Executive Office (KLK) is one of the municipal council's administrations and is responsible for leading and coordinating a variety of municipal-wide assignments. In addition to strategically steering and coordinating the municipality's projects, the mission is to provide ultimate support for the municipality's seven administrations. This involves identifying needs, analyzing, creating conditions, proposing solutions, and challenging various important issues for the municipality, the group, and our community development. All of this is carried out with quality, heart, and a touch of attitude.
The Municipal Executive Office consists of the municipal office, as well as the HR, finance, IT, communications, development, land development, and business departments.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Höganäs is considered a safe municipality according to the annual safety measurement, but we want to continue developing our work to further increase safety and preparedness for everyone living, working, or visiting here.
We are now seeking someone to help strengthen the municipality's work with safety, security, and preparedness by coordinating and developing crime prevention efforts, as well as the municipality's crisis preparedness and civil defense.
Main responsibilities:
Crime Prevention Work
• Coordinate and develop the municipality's crime prevention initiatives in close collaboration with the police, schools, social services, and other stakeholders.
• Initiate, drive, and follow up on security-enhancing projects and activities.
• Conduct safety assessments and analyses of crime statistics.
• Support administrations and operations in working systematically on crime prevention.
• Participate in and coordinate local cooperation forums, e.g., the cooperation agreement between the municipality and the police.
Preparedness and Security
• Develop the municipality's work on crisis preparedness and civil defense.
• Participate in risk and vulnerability analyses (RSA) and update as well as follow up on preparedness plans.
QUALIFICATIONS
Relevant higher education, for example in social sciences, criminology, security, political science, sociology, or similar fields.
Experience in crime prevention and/or preparedness issues, preferably in the public sector.
Strong ability to cooperate and build networks among various stakeholders.
Analytical and strategic ability.
Good communication skills, both orally and in writing.

The position is security classified, which means that a security screening with background check will be conducted before employment.
