**Job Description**
As a traffic planner, you will play a key role in developing and coordinating traffic solutions within the municipality's physical planning.
You will collaborate closely with colleagues from various fields of expertise and contribute your knowledge to detailed plans, comprehensive plans, and other planning processes. You will handle daily operational issues as well as strategic and long-term projects. The role also involves developing our working methods together with other departments within communal development.
You view your role in the societal mission as part of a whole. Together with your colleagues, you drive complex projects forward, find solutions to problems, and make sound trade-offs. You excel in collaboration and building good relationships, both internally and externally. To move forward, you are also willing to challenge outdated mindsets when necessary.
**Examples of Responsibilities**
- Serve as the link between strategic and operational activities in traffic planning.
- Provide traffic expertise for detailed and comprehensive plans.
- Conduct, commission, and review various types of traffic investigations.
- Lead projects related to traffic, such as the development of action plans.
**We are looking for someone who:**
- Has a degree in civil engineering or urban planning at least at the bachelor's level with a focus on traffic or other relevant education deemed equivalent.
- Has experience working with traffic issues and traffic planning in detailed plans.
- Has experience in street design.
- Can express themselves well in both spoken and written Swedish, as the position involves daily communication and writing on complex issues.
- Is proficient in the Office suite and has good computer skills.
**It is beneficial if you have:**
- Experience working in a politically governed organization.
- Previously worked with traffic forecasting and/or simpler socio-economic calculations.
- Knowledge of GIS.

You will be part of the strategic unit within the communal development office, where we gather expertise in comprehensive planning, public transport planning, housing provisioning, strategic projects, and natural and land issues. We are a close-knit unit that works together and strive for an open environment where we learn from one another. In the position of traffic planner, you will have freedom with responsibility in a stimulating work environment with engaged colleagues.
**About the Position**
This is a permanent position. A probation period may apply. Start date is according to agreement.
