RESPONSIBILITIES
You will work in a structured and proactive manner to develop and streamline traffic within the business area. Your mission is to create more efficient planning where efficiency and business development go hand in hand. Optimizing resources, minimizing disruptions, and improving delivery precision are your trademarks, all in accordance with traffic agreements, laws, and internal guidelines.
This is a broad role within the business area. You will be responsible for traffic planning of fixed assignments, driving efficiency and business development, as well as working with business and tender-related matters. The role entails a strong focus on increased efficiency, cost control, enhanced competitiveness, and improved quality for the company.
You will:
• Be responsible for the planning of recurring fixed assignments within school and ordered traffic, ranging from a school run to a complex customer assignment, such as the new subway in Stockholm.
• Create and develop routes, services, and schedules for drivers in the relevant planning tool based on laws and agreements.
• Be an expert on current collective agreements, laws, and regulations, as well as business agreements, and thus act as a sounding board internally, for example, towards the tender team, planning department, or local school transport coordinators.
• Conduct analyses, forecasts, follow-ups, and present results from planning outcomes.
• Develop key performance indicators and planning parameters.
You will report to the Business Area Manager and collaborate with colleagues and other traffic planners within the business area.
QUALIFICATIONS
To succeed in this role, you need to be senior in traffic planning as you are expected to drive the development of the business area in planning. You also have an academic background in logistics, planning, statistics, urban planning, or equivalent experience or other training deemed equivalent by the employer.
• Experience in logistics and personnel planning, as well as relevant system support.
• Knowledge of working time legislation, as well as relevant labor law and work environment regulations.
• You should have experience with one or more of the planning systems, such as Trapeze, Hastus, or Optibus.
You are committed to achieving efficient planning while balancing the ability to integrate the needs of various stakeholders. You possess strong analytical skills and enjoy working data-driven. Furthermore, you are structured, skilled in planning, and can manage multiple parallel projects with different deadlines. Your communication skills, responsiveness, and ability to collaborate are winning traits. You maintain your composure even during intense periods and always act professionally and solution-oriented.
